Daddy's Days Off

Kaylie and I always look forward to the days that Daddy has off work. He works different hours than most other guys, but we love the fact that he gets 3 whole days off in a row to spend with us!
Usually when Bobby is off, we hang out together at home, go to the mall, or find something fun to do together as a family. Well these past few days we did a ton of really fun things!
Wednesday we went to lunch at Le Madeline with one of my old friends from highschool then to Old Navy to buy some spring goodies for Kaylie. Thursday was actually a pretty nice day outside, so we took a trip down to the zoo! It was not crowded at all, and it was great because all the animals were out and looking to play! We packed a lunch and had a picnic lunch down at the zoo.
Of course we had picture time:

Kaylie and a photo shoot with the hippo

I'm trying to get Kaylie to look at the camera. There are zebra's in the background that actually started humping when we began to take pictures. I am serious. Haha!

Lions!!

And what would any zoo trip be without stopping to do a baby photo shoot in the grass??

So serious.... :)

yummy grass!

So after a great day at the zoo and a nap, we went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays! So I have been really into coupon clipping lately. Online, from the paper, it doesn't matter if I see coupons, I am clipping. In last weeks Sunday paper I happened to see a coupon for buy 1 entree get another entree free at Ruby Tuesday's. Score!! I can't tell you how excited I was about this meal. :) Bobby got a ribs and shrimp dish with mashed potatos and I got this AWESOME chicken dish with a baked potato and broccoli. Of course we each also go the salad bar which is the best there. Kaylie ate a little of everything off our plates...we actually ate a ton as a family that meal! :)
Then yesterday Kaylie had My Gym which she loves. And then after her nap, Daddy took us to the indoor pool for some splash time! We really had such a fun time over the past 3 days. Now, Bobby is back to work today. But we can't wait till he is off again this Wed. because we will have MORE fun, and we are going up to Deleware on Friday to see Bobby's mom, and go to Kaylie's friend Ava's first birthday party!!! Kaylie can't wait to see Ava! Her birthday party is only going to get us more excited for Kaylie's first birthday...which of course I have already started to plan... :)

Long Overdue

So I seriously think I forgot about this blog. It has been forever since I have posted, and so much has been going on, I should be documenting it all! Kaylie has been growing so fast, she has her two bottom teeth, she is crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, constantly saying "dada" and calling her bottle "baba." She loves Roxy and watching her, we actually went on a walk the other day and she hysterically laughed the whole time Roxy walked along with the stroller, and when we were throwing the frisbee to her. She has never laughed so hard at anything but this dog running! :) She has quite the personality!
She loves going to My Gym every Friday and visiting Target with Mommy at least 3-4 times a week! That's what happens when you live right across the street from one. Every time Bobby comes home to visit when he is working she gets so excited to see him and just wants to touch his patches on his uniform. She has started smiling and talking to perfect strangers now, she was a big hit walking through the plane on our last trip to Charlotte a few weeks ago.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I love staying at home with her. She is so much fun and we have a blast together. She loves crawling all over the house, coming into the kitchen to help me "cook" and I love mealtimes with her, she loves to try new foods! :)
Anyway, we have been doing really well, and are really looking forward to spring and Kaylie's first birthday! My little girl will be 1 before we know it! Here is what we have been up to in pictures...

These were at Christmas

Trying her very first Christmas cookie that we made together :)

Sharing some of Dada's sandwich!

She loves taking off her socks...usually right before we are leaving the house!

And she gets so excited when she plays with her ball!

Our baby sucks her thumb

And loves her doggie!

My Gym!!

And brushing her teeth...she loves it!

My bathing beauty

And our sweet little Valentine!! :)

I am so blessed. Every day I am more and more humbled at all that the Lord has given me. Hasn't he been good!!
