A Party for a 3 Year Old

Well last Saturday we celebrated Kaylie's birthday with all our friends and family. It had been a gorgeous week outside so of course it was a huge bummer to learn that rain was in the forecast all day for our party at the park. I was stressing out big time, but thankfully the rain held off until after the party. I spent weeks planning this party, and man was it stressful being pregnant and trying to make this party happen! haha. But fortunately I think everything worked out perfectly and most importantly, Kaylie had a blast. She was so sweet to watch, playing with her friends, blowing out her candles on her amazing cake, stuffing her face, and opening her presents with such excitement and gratefulness. She has been really shy in saying thank you to people, something we have been working on with her, and yet she didn't have a problem at all thanking everyone for her gifts! I got some great pictures, so here they are!

Getting the party all set up!

Kaylie and one of her best friends Jadyn. She loves this girl and talks about her ALL the time!

Our friends and family :)

Pinata time!! Oh man, this was so hysterical. The kids had a blast trying to get this Dora pinata down! After many many hits, she was decapitated, but of course the candy wasn't in her head, it was all in her body! Finally, we had all the kids just pull the strings to open it up and it was a free for all. :)

Gathering up the fruits of their labor :)

Cake time!! I was soooooo pleased to find an awesome cake maker through a friend of mine. I really wanted to have a special cake made for Kaylie this year, just because she is really into cake and cupcakes right now. I went for a 2 tier and it was perfect! If you need a cake made, let me know, this girl Ashley is awesome and very affordable!

After having her bestie Sky help her blow the candles out, she stuffed her face :)

Present time, and photo op with all her little friends

And I have to end this post with some pics of Kaylie's gift from us. A big girl bike. :) She is so fearless on that thing I am gonna have tons of heart attacks!!

And yes, she is riding the bike in her pajama's. Once Bobby put it together that morning, she couldn't wait another second to take it outside to ride :)
