Ok...granola bars. I know this is a silly topic, but I am a crazy granola bar eater. They are one of my favorite snacks to take for lunch. Well...the past few months I have been on the lookout for a really yummy but HEALTHY granola bar since I am trying to eat more healthy these days. I have probably tried about 9 or 10 different kinds, some better than others, but friends, I have finally found THE healthy granola bar for me!
Ok, the south beach diet cinnamon raisin ones were good, but a little too bland. I needed more flavor. Luna bars. I tried many kinds but only ended up liking the peanut butter cookie ones. Luna bars are good...but a little too expensive and $1.00 per bar. Finally, I decided to try Fiber One bars. I didn't want to get chocolate ones since I normally eat them in the morning so I decided to try the peanut butter ones. Ok...seriously good. Not hard or too chewy, they were really soft, sweet but not too sweet and the best part is: I am eating something with 35% of my daily value of fiber and it tastes better than eating something like grape nuts which for me is just too boring. :) I really really like these granola bars as a snack and I don't feel like I am just eating straight sugar.
Until next time!!

Oh man! I think that's where we went for lunch when we were with the Zaal's for the 4th however many years ago that was and I STILL remember that chicken! Those prices aren't bad at all either!
My husband isn't a huge fan of chicken but I don't think there's anyway he would be able to resist this one!
Thanks for the tip!! :)
Hi Alissa,
Okay, can you believe I've never left a comment on a blog before? So if this comes through 5 times, I'm very sorry!!
I love the sauce idea for chicken, it sounds awesome! I'm ALWAYS looking for a new way to make chxn more exciting, so thanks for the tip. My latest favorite thing to do w/ chicken is to cut it into small cubes, skewer & marinate w/ whatever sauce I have, then bbq.
I too am a granola bar lover! I just discovered the Kashi Go Lean bars for the same reason you mentioned you loved the cinnamon/raisin one, I'll have to check that one out now too.
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
Love, Aunt Renee
i def do need to buy that sauce sometime. It will bring back memories of the beach while eating at home...ahh. hehe anyways, nice granola bar tip. I'll have to try that one...another good one i recently found are the kellong "meal bars". They are new and pretty yummy. I'll see you later today my little stinklet! Bring your PARTY hat!
Gotta order the sauce...or better yet, take a trip to OC to buy it in person :) Sounds like something I should get to stock in Johnny's cabinet for when he comes home from Iraq! The taste of OC would be a bit of heaven for him! And granola bars: I'm stuck on Kashi Honey Almond Flax.
Hey Ruth! WOW, long time...I totally remember that infamous 4th of July! Hugs to you :)
Aunt Renee...you did good girlfriend! Got a message through on the first try...way to go!!!
A Crash, Chicken, and Granola Bars...sounds like the title to a new book!!!
