Summer Fun

I can't believe it is already August! Why is it that the summer always seems to fly by but winter seems to drag on for months and months? I'm not complaining though, this has so far been a wonderful summer. With a trip to Disney world and Bobby's graduation under our belt, we are finally getting nestled in to our new schedules and life after the academy. Bobby is getting used to his schedule which has turned out to not be as bad as it sounded at first. He is working Tuesday through Friday 3pm-1am. It sounded bad in light of my schedule which was me working till 4:00 Mon-Fri but now that I am working part time, it is working out GREAT! I have been working 3 days a week instead of 5 and 2 of those 3 days I am working the evening shift so that means Bobby and I sleep in until about 9:00 or later and then spend the morning and lunch together. He usually leaves around 2:00 to go in so we usually have nice leasurely mornings cleaning, making breakfast, taking Roxy for walks, or just lounging around. It is so weird for me to not be working so much but we are trusting the Lord to provide, we know that he will provide and bless us if we chose to put our marriage first and not our desire for money and comfort. I have been so blessed and provoked by Bobby's faith and support of me working part time. I think in the beginning he was more for it than I was! He didn't seem to worry or doubt at all, he just wanted to make our time together priority and me working full time and not seeing him for 4 days straight even an option. Thank you so much my love for wanting to put me first and for trusting the Lord that he WILL provide for our family. I love being able to be home more and look forward to doing more projects at home. The ONLY thing that I am sad about with Bobby's schedule is that he isn't home at night so I can't cook dinner for us. It's so much more fun cooking for him and not just myself! :)
Well we have the next few weekends packed with things going on, here are some pictures of some fun we have had in the past few weeks.

One afternoon Bobby and I decided to go down to DC just to walk around and see some sights. A few weeks ago the weather was beautiful outside (high 70's to low 80's) so it was a perfect day to go down there. I had never seen the World War II memorial and it was really pretty there!

Here is the view of the Lincoln Memorial from the World War II Memorial

This past weekend we went up to Bobby's mom's house in Delaware to visit her and to get in a little beach time with our dear friends Dave and Michelle. Unfortunately Bobby caught a little virus and was throwing up Friday night at work and in the middle of the night. I was afraid we may of had to cancel our trip, but Bobby being the trooper he is said he still wanted to go. (secretly I think he just played tough and went because he knows how much I wanted to go) It was pretty relaxing to be on the beach for the day and then hang out at his mom's house, it took him a little while to get over the bug, but he is all better now!
Here is Bobby taking a cat nap and Dave watching TV

Well that's all for now, I have some girls coming over tonight to hang out and Bobby is hard at work getting lawbreakers off the street. :) Until next time!

Don't worry - when you come out here in November, it will still be "summer"! I remember when we moved in last year at that time, it was in the 90's! Can't wait to see you!
