BOBBY'S FIRST DAY!

Well, Bobby made it through his first day of the academy! He came home with a lot to tell me about, and man, it sounds to me like they sure don't make it easy on you. Bobby said it was more mentally draining today, but he is more excited now being able to see what he will be a part of for homefully the rest of his career. I can't believe still sometimes that this is the path the Lord has chosen for us, Bobby being a police officer, and I being the wife of a police officer, but I have no doubt that the Lord will provide much grace as needed.
Last night Bobby and I started reading through a book together called "Knowledge of the Holy" by A.W. Tozer. A wise friend of mine (thanks Jenni!) recommended that I read this book during this season while Bobby is in the academy. Last night when we got into bed, we decided to read the first chapter together, and what wonderful words that we read. The chapter was about having the right view of God. It was so appropriate to read through and be reminded of our place before a mighty and holy God. I think that as Bobby goes to the academy each day, and as I go to work each day, we need to constantly be humbled, and hold on to the mindset that we are nothing apart from the Lord. How easy it is to forget our desperate need for God each and every day. Please pray that this season the Lord will teach both Bobby and I more about who he is and how much we need him, for our relationship, for our work, for everything. We covet your prayers, thank you!

On a lighter note, it has come to my attention, that not everyone has been able to see our little devious Roxy! So, after Jes has given me a hard time, here she is! Presenting, the one and only best little puppy ever... ROXY!

This is the day we first got her!

Here she is tired out from helping us decorate for Christmas!

Here is my Christmas shot with her!

She is such a great dog, everyone should get a boxer! We love her. :)

I LOVE my grandpuppy. Roxy is the best. It's very cool that she was born in Delaware and ironically adopted from a man named John who served in Iraq! Love my Roxy!!
